Accessibility

Accessibility of our online presence
Zieher KG is expressly committed to the principles of accessibility and is committed to an inclusive, equal opportunity society. This attitude is also reflected in the design of our digital offerings. Our goal is to provide everyone – regardless of individual limitations – with equal and self-determined access to our online content. In doing so, we are guided by the four central principles of accessibility in accordance with international standards and legal requirements: perceptibility, operability, comprehensibility and robustness.

Perceptibility
To ensure the highest possible visual accessibility, we use sans serif fonts in dark to black color on light, mostly white backgrounds. This ensures high contrast and good readability. Colors such as green and red are not combined to make it easier for people with color vision deficiency to use. The background design remains discreet so as not to impair readability. Links and buttons are identified by clear visual features such as underlines or clear borders. Our website supports the zoom function of common browsers (e.g. via CTRL + mouse wheel in Mozilla Firefox) in order to be able to adjust the individual display. Essential images are also equipped with a zoom function. Videos embedded in our online presence offer subtitles that can be activated via corresponding buttons. The page structure follows a logically structured hierarchy – from general to specific content, from left to right – and thus facilitates orientation. The compatibility of our website with common screen readers (e.g. the read-aloud function in Microsoft Edge) has been successfully tested. This can be activated by right-clicking. We deliberately avoid visually overwhelming elements such as flashing animations, flickering effects or fast image changes in order to enable low-stimulus and safe use. Operability Our website can be operated entirely with the mouse or alternatively exclusively with the keyboard. In this way, we take into account the variety of usage needs and support people with motor disabilities in particular.

Operability
Our website can be operated entirely with the mouse or alternatively exclusively with the keyboard. In this way, we take into account the variety of usage needs and support people with motor disabilities in particular.
Intelligibility
We attach great importance to clear, understandable language. Wherever possible, we use simple expressions and comprehensible grammar. Technical terms are only used if they are necessary for a precise description. Its significance is explained – as far as permissible – at an appropriate point. For legal reasons, original quotes from experts cannot be linguistically adapted. Our content is thematically structured, logically structured and divided into clear sections. Form fields contain clear instructions for the required input. We also offer various ways to contact us – including telephone, e-mail, contact forms, fax and selected social media channels.

 Robustness
Our online presence has been tested for functionality and stability in different browsers – including older versions – as well as with selected assistance systems. No critical restrictions could be identified. If you nevertheless encounter a malfunction or obstacle, we look forward to your feedback via the contact form provided. We take your information seriously and will try to find a solution as soon as possible.

Accessibility is not a one-off goal for us, but a continuous process. Zieher regularly reviews and optimizes its digital offerings to ensure an inclusive user experience for everyone.
